Leo Donofrio, a New Jersey Attorney who challenged the ineligibility of Barack Obama and was denied the claim based on lack of direct personal injury not suffered by his client above the general public of the other citizens of the United States, has announced his retirement and the closing of his informative and instructive blog.
On March 13, 2011, under the pen and blog name of naturalborncitizen, Leo writes in part:
After long consideration and discussion with my family, I am saying
goodbye to this blog and the law. I am retiring my law license and will
be concentrating on making films, and writing music.
There is no lawyer, politician or judge who will change the world into what God intended it to be – one family, one love.
In 2008, Leo broke the information into "the demand that we vet or discard Obama" issue, otherwise known as "birtherism", by dealing with A.P. Hinman's constitutionally driven quest to see Chester Arthur vetted in his day.

To me, Leo was also generous and kid gloves to Obama even when he criticized him. Such as:[Quote]

signed the document below:
The US Constitution requires that
the President must be a “natural born citizen” of the US. The
Constitution makes a clear distinction between a basic citizen – who may be
a Senator or Representative – and a “natural born citizen” – the higher
standard which is required for the President/Commander In Chief.
Obama was a Constitutional law
professor and Harvard Law graduate running for President. He was fully
aware of the most on point US Supreme Court holding which discussed the meaning
of “natural born citizen” – Minor v.
Happersett – wherein the Supreme Court stated:
The Constitution does not, in words,
say who shall be natural-born citizens. Resort must be had elsewhere to
ascertain that. At common-law, with the nomenclature of which the framers of
the Constitution were familiar, it was never doubted that all children born in
a country of parents who were its citizens became themselves, upon their birth,
citizens also. These were natives, or natural-born citizens, as distinguished
from aliens or foreigners. Some authorities go further and include as citizens
children born within the jurisdiction without reference to the citizenship of
their [88 U.S. 162, 168] parents. As to this
class there have been doubts, but never as to the first. For the purposes of
this case it is not necessary to solve these doubts.
...Obama - the famed brilliant Constitutional scholar – had to be aware
that the most directly on point US Supreme Court case in our nation’s
history directly stated that there were doubts as to his nbc status.
Yet, regardless of these doubts expressed by the highest court in the
land, Obama went ahead and swore – under oath – that he was eligible to
be President.
Therefore, he is now intellectually convicted of false swearing.
When you swear that what you say is true, then – to the best of your knowledge – what you say must
be true. If you are a gifted Constitutional scholar/professor who
knows of a SCOTUS holding which calls your “natural-born citizen”
status into question and directly states that there have been doubts
thereto, but you go ahead and swear under oath that you are - in fact –
a natural-born citizen, then you are also – in fact – guilty of false
swearing.
You can’t legally swear to the best of your knowledge that you are
eligible to be President when the SCOTUS last word on the issue directly
calls such eligibility into doubt. You can’t even do that with a
straight face let alone a sworn oath.

On September 4, 2009, Leo's calling out Factcheck.org, (what I believe to be a front for the Annenburg Fund), showed how Factcheck.org is nothing more than a propaganda public relations organization working at the public relations image of Barack Obama, and see facts merely as a success in deception of the masses....otherwise known as "perception manipulation"... where facts cease to be a reality of what really is and becomes politically whatever lie you can create and have the masses swallow. However, Leo showed that screen-shots will take the wind out of their sails, and the cockiness out of their crowing, if used properly.
Leo also liked to find relevant articles out of the past to help prove the point of the abandonment of the Media and the Legal Community on this issue that was far from settled.
Leo, along with Mario Apuzzo, was one of the two most respected "natural born citizen" (aka. "birther") opinions I enjoyed reading on the web. We learned much about the Constitution as it regarded the Original Intent approach of the Natural Born Citizen Issue as it related to Article 2 and the related issue of the 14th Amendment in these past several years. We will still have Mario's blog for the temporary foreseeable future to look to as Leo's blog with its oft valuable insights is pulled from the web. Orly Taitz still keeps the good fight -- legally and peacefully -- on in the Courts. And we find that as with life, people involved in the side of right and truth will come and go, and not everyone stays for the entirety of the Cause. But that's okay, because our trust is in GOD to grant us the final victory, and that good shall triumph over evil. Obama has allied himself with the enemy outside the wire, and America is finally getting wise to the fact.
