My Commentary
* Verse 2 - Out of the Hand - appears to mean "Out of Heaven where the Saints have been resurrected and Raptured to. Hence, while the believers are resurrected and in Heaven, out of the way and safe, GOD judges the Harlot...that much is clear.
It appears to me, however, that this punishment is for the blood Mamonism, perhaps as far back as Babel and Nimrod (I don't know for sure) has caused to be spilled upon the Earth from that time to this. And the Harlot appears to, at this time, be summed up and represented in manifestation as one super-power economic nation of the Earth as the one to be punished...if I read the intent of this passage correctly.
** Verse 13 - the Word / Logos The Logos (Word) also translates to something to the effect as "intelligent reason expressed by the intelligent word", "the manifest intelligent expression and declaration." When applied to GOD in Christ Jesus, we see that Jesus is the manifestation of GOD to mankind, the expressed intelligent thought and reasoning of GOD the Father, the exact image and reflection of the GOD the Father in GOD the Son our LORD and Savior Christ Jesus / YHVeH Messiah.
