[Barack's definition of reducing the deficit is to not REDUCE any spending, merely to reallocate it in a way that squanders the increase in spending to drive America to a quicker and intentional bankruptcy and total economic crash. That is the nefarious intent of Obama. There are no good intents.]
QUESTION: Your energy secretary, Steven Chu, has now been on record three times stating it's not policy of his department to help lower gas prices. Do you agree with Secretary Chu that this is not the job of the Energy Department?

[that is, when you learn to live in a chronic state of black-outs like they do in the Third World, you would expect your electric bills to be less, etc.]

OBAMA: Well, think about what the governor -- think about what the governor just said. He said when I took office, the price of gasoline was $1.80, $1.86. Why is that? Because the economy was on the verge of collapse, because we were about to go through the worst recession since the Great Depression, as a consequence of some of the same policies that Governor Romney's now promoting.
So, it's conceivable that Governor Romney could bring down gas prices because with his policies, we might be back in that same mess. [i.e., low gas prices and a non-recession and non-depression economy are part of what Obama defines as a "mess"]
That's not an energy strategy for the future. And we need to win that future. And I intend to win it as President of the United States.
CROWLEY: We're going to move you both along to taxes
OBAMA: My philosophy on taxes has been simple. And that is, I want to give middle-class families and folks who are striving to get into the middle-class some relief. Because they have been hit hard over the last decade [under me and under President Bush]. Over the last 15, over the last 20 years [under President Clinton especially also].
So four years ago I stood on a stage just like this one.

Obama Increased Federal Excise Taxes on Tobacco, raising taxes on everyone, especially those working poor or in poverty, as well as the middle class. Obama said that NO ONE making less than $250,000 would be taxed because of him. 16 days after usurping the Presidency, he TAXED tens of millions of the very ones he said he would not. -- Another Commitment Obama failed to keep.

He committed to not using PACs and failed to keep that commitment.

He hired lots of lobbyists, and some 4 years later, still uses and takes
monies from Super PACs. Not only that,
but his campaign unashamedly takes money from foreign donors, and give the

over to prosecute ourselves?".

4. Obama failed to keep his
"commitment" to reduce the annual Federal Deficit by 50% a year.
—"Today I'm pledging to cut the
deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office." (Obama, Fiscal Responsibility Summit, Feb. 23, 2009.)
5. Obama promised a commitment to "turn the page on the ugly partisanship in Washington, so we can bring Democrats and Republicans together to pass an agenda that works for the American people." Instead, he blamed the Republicans for creating a "mess", which he defined in the debate as prosperity and lower prices, and Politifact states that as of August 31,2012, the partisan divide has become "record-setting" as part of Obama's own broken promise.

Politifact notes that there are at least 86 clear promises (i.e., commitments) that Obama has broken. By lying during the debate, any commitment to tell the truth to the American people, also went out the window.
OBAMA HIMSELF DEMANDED WE HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE
On May 21, 2009 Obama made his pitch and challenge while standing before the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and declared:
6) "I ran for President promising transparency, and I meant what I said. That is why, whenever possible, we will make information available to the American people so that they can make informed judgments and hold us accountable.”
7) “…whenever we cannot release certain information to the public for valid national security reasons, I will insist that there is oversight of my actions - by Congress or by the courts.”
8) “…in our system of checks and balances, someone must always watch over the watchers - especially when it comes to sensitive information.”
9) “I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable. I will deal with Congress and the courts as co-equal branches of government. I will tell the American people what I know and don't know, and when I release something publicly or keep something secret, I will tell you why."
All 4 times on May 21, 2009, Obama lied in making his "Commitments". Anyone familiar with Obama and his political history knows that the reality of what he says above in these last 4 instances, and what he does is almost 100% opposite. Can anyone say that in regards to Libya and the 09/11/2012 foreign policy incompetence or intentional fiasco that Barack kept his 4 pledges or commitments he made at the U.S. National Archives, at the time, speaking live from before the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence on all the major network news stations to tens of millions of viewers? No...not honestly, anyway.
Obama has a "Cause", and the "Cause" of Marxist-Leninism and the eventual overthrow of the United States of America comes first.
The way we're going to create jobs here is not just to change our tax code, but also to double our exports. And we are on pace to double our exports, one of the commitments I made when I was president. That's creating tens of thousands of jobs all across the country.
{So Obama loses millions of jobs, skews how the Unemployment numbers are recorded, tosses off millions from the count to force a 7.8% mythical unemployment number that Romney said was really 10.7%, which Obama refuses to challenge, because it is worse than even that... and now he claims that as we create energy efficient cars, over the next 10 years, we'll create tens of thousands of jobs for the millions and millions he helped ensure were lost or stayed lost? Give us all a break!}
Then there was this exchange:
ROMNEY: I -- I think interesting the president just said something which -- which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.
OBAMA: That's what I said.
ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror.
It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you're saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed governor.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It -- it -- it -- he did in fact, sir. So let me -- let me call it an act of terror...
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He -- he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
ROMNEY: This -- the administration -- the administration indicated this was a reaction to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.
Mitt Romney is Technically right on both counts.
Obama stated that on September 12, 2012, he called the attack in Libya an act of terror, and the transcript indeed reads:
