Obama in Debate Number 2 with Mitt Romney, with select Obama Debate #1 Quotes

Personally selected "First Debate" quotes from Obama's own mouth:

I've got a different view. I think we've got to invest in education and training. I think it's important for us to develop new sources of energy here in America, that we change our tax code ... that we take some of the money that we're saving ...that allows us to make these critical investments.
Now, it ultimately is going to be up to the voters, to you, which path we should take. Are we going to double down on the top-down economic policies that helped to get us into this mess, or do we embrace a new economic patriotism...?

First, we've got to improve our education system.   ...And I want to make sure that we keep tuition low for our young people. When it comes to our tax code...I want to provide tax breaks for companies that are investing here in the United States.

...Well, I think — let's talk about taxes because I think it's instructive. Now, four years ago when I stood on this stage I said that I would cut taxes for middle-class families. And that's exactly what I did. We cut taxes for middle-class families by about $3,600.

... And by giving them those tax cuts, they...are certainly in a better position to weather the extraordinary recession that we went through.

...my tax plan has already lowered taxes for 98 percent of families....

And what I want to do is continue the tax rates ...because by doing that, we can not ...reduce the deficit, we can not .... encourage job growth through small businesses... all the things that are helping America grow.

...I — you may want to move on to another topic, but I would just say this to the American people.

... When I walked in the Oval Office, I had more than a trillion dollar deficit greeting me... I worked with Democrats and Republicans to cut a trillion dollars out of our discretionary domestic budget.

... budgets reflect choices. Ultimately we're going to have to make some decisions. And if we're asking for no revenue, then that means that we've got to get rid of a whole bunch of stuff....

You know, my grandmother, some of you know, helped to raise me. My grandparents did. My grandfather died awhile back. My grandmother died three days before I was elected president. And she was fiercely independent. ...she ended up living alone by choice. And the reason she could be independent was because of Social Security and Medicare...And that's the perspective I bring when I think about what's called entitlements. You know, the name itself implies some sense of dependency on the part of these folks.

... The first role of the federal government is to keep the American people safe. That's its most basic function. And as commander in chief, that is something that I've worked on and thought about every single day that I've been in the Oval Office.
But I also believe that government has the capacity — the federal government has the capacity to help open up opportunity and create ladders of opportunity and to create frameworks where the American people can succeed.

... But look, my philosophy has been I will take ideas from anybody, Democrat or Republican, as long as they're advancing the Cause....   That's how we cut a trillion dollars of spending that wasn't advancing that Cause.
...That's how we went after al-Qaida and bin Laden.

And everybody's getting a fair shot and everybody's getting a fair share. Everybody's doing a fair share and everybody's playing by the same rules.
You know, four years ago I said that I'm not a perfect man and I wouldn't be a perfect president. And that's probably a promise that Governor Romney thinks I've kept.

If you didn't watch the Second debate, you will really want to pay attention to what was left unsaid as well as what was said by Obama on this one.

Debate Transcript

My comments are in yellow, Obama's quotes in purplish.

Personally selected "Second Debate" quotes from Obama's own mouth with editorial criticisms of them:
Jeremy, first of all, your future is bright.  ...And there are a bunch of things we can do to make sure your future is bright...we've got to control our own energy.
{By "control", a regular theme word in Marxist philosophy, Barack  means a Government takeover or an unrestrained and coercive terror driven dictatorship oversight of privatized companies in the industry}.

...We've got to reduce our deficit, but we've got to do it in a balanced way.
...  let's take the money that we've been spending on war over the last decade to rebuild America, roads, bridges schools.

[ This is fantasy money. The administration is counting $848 billion in phantom savings from winding down the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, even though the administration had long made clear those wars would end. In other words, by projecting war spending far in the future, the administration is able to claim credit for saving money it never intended to spend. And Obama would still be borrowing [sic] the money to ‘rebuild America’ (Glenn Kessler, “Factchecking The First Presidential Debate Of 2012,” The Washington Post‘s The Fact Checker, 10/4/12)]
[Barack's definition of reducing the deficit is to not REDUCE any spending, merely to reallocate it in a way that squanders the increase in spending to drive America to a quicker and intentional bankruptcy and total economic crash.  That is the nefarious intent of Obama.  There are no good intents.]
QUESTION: Your energy secretary, Steven Chu, has now been on record three times stating it's not policy of his department to help lower gas prices. Do you agree with Secretary Chu that this is not the job of the Energy Department?

The most important thing we can do is to make sure we control our own energy. ... But we've also got to continue to figure out how we have efficiency energy,
[Just what is efficiency energy?  Is it a renewable or a term for a Carbon Cap / Output agreement that requires forced brown-outs and blackouts when monthly, weekly, or daily "pre-agreed to" capacity is achieved?]
because ultimately that's how we're going to reduce demand...
[that is, when you learn to live in a chronic state of black-outs like they do in the Third World, you would expect your electric bills to be less, etc.]
and, most importantly, we're also starting to build cars that are more efficient. And that's creating jobs... and it also means that it'll save money in your pocketbook.
[...or put another way:  "Hey, if you are forced to walk and can't afford a car anymore...think of all the money you save in your pocketbook."]

CROWLEY: Mr. President, could you address, because we did finally get to gas prices here, could you address what the governor said, which is if your energy policy was working, the price of gasoline would not be $4 a gallon here. Is that true?
OBAMA: Well, think about what the governor -- think about what the governor just said. He said when I took office, the price of gasoline was $1.80, $1.86. Why is that? Because the economy was on the verge of collapse, because we were about to go through the worst recession since the Great Depression, as a consequence of some of the same policies that Governor Romney's now promoting.
So, it's conceivable that Governor Romney could bring down gas prices because with his policies, we might be back in that same mess.   [i.e., low gas prices and a non-recession and non-depression economy are part of what Obama defines as a "mess"]
That's not an energy strategy for the future. And we need to win that future. And I intend to win it as President of the United States.

CROWLEY: We're going to move you both along to taxes
OBAMA: My philosophy on taxes has been simple. And that is, I want to give middle-class families and folks who are striving to get into the middle-class some relief. Because they have been hit hard over the last decade [under me and under President Bush]. Over the last 15, over the last 20 years [under President Clinton especially also]
So four years ago I stood on a stage just like this one.
But what I've also said is, if we're serious about reducing the deficit, if this is genuinely a moral obligation to the next generation, then...I'm ready to sign that bill right now.

...I think what grows the economy is when you get that tax credit that we put in place for your kids going to college. I think that grows the economy. I think what grows the economy is when we make sure small businesses are getting a tax credit for hiring veterans who fought for our country. That grows our economy. So we just have a different theory.

And -- and what's at stake here is one of two things, either Candy -- this blows up the deficit because keep in mind...You're going to be paying for it. You're going to lose....

And, you know, I was raised by a single mom who had to put herself through school while looking after two kids.

  • Maya Soetoro (b.1970)
Uh...just WHEN was she single looking after TWO kids...Barack and Maya?   The Facts don't fit Obama's narrative.
Obama has spent his life creating fantasy reality, it seems to me.
Barack once stated to Bill Ayers in my presence that he wrote about a(n alleged)  traumatic experience in his Occidental University Newspaper published poem called "Pop"  as therapy,
and it was for all the world to see that he had (allegedly) been raped from the front (sodomized) by Frank('s phallus) up the rear end  because he was a green kid that needed to be hurt and disillusioned, because that's how the world is for the dedicated Communist.   Or words to this effect.

Pop         By Barack Obama

Sitting in his seat, a seat broad and broken
In, sprinkled with ashes,
Pop switches channels, takes another
Shot of Seagrams, neat, and asks
What to do with me, a green young man
Who fails to consider the
Flim and flam of the world

Things have been easy for me;
I stare hard at his face, a stare
That deflects off his brow;

I'm sure he's unaware of his
Dark, watery eyes, that
Glance in different directions,
And his slow, unwelcome twitches,
Fail to pass.

I listen, nod,
Listen, open, till I cling to his pale,
Beige T-shirt, yelling,
Yelling in his ears
, that hang
With heavy lobes, but he's still telling
His joke,
so I ask why

He's so unhappy, to which he replies . . .
But I don't care anymore, cause
He took too damn long
, and from
Under my seat,
I pull out the

Mirror I've been saving; I'm laughing,
Laughing loud, the blood rushing from his face
To mine,
as he grows small,

A spot in my brain, something
That may be squeezed out, like a
Watermelon seed between
Two fingers.
Pop takes another shot, neat,
Points out the same amber
Stain on his shorts that I've got on mine
Makes me smell his smell, coming
From me.

He ...Stands, shouts, and asks
For a hug, as I sh[r]ink, my
Arms barely reaching around
His thick, oily neck, and his broad back; 'cause
I see my face, framed within
Pop's black-framed glasses
And know he's laughing too.

As a consequence of this disillusionment, it seems to me that in part, Barack sees the world in the same way as Frank the alleged child sex predator...in which a dopey child-like America that is dumb enough to believe in him,  needs to pay in a like metaphorical way as allegedly Frank victimized him.

...In my health care bill, I said insurance companies need to provide contraceptive coverage to everybody who is insured. Because this is not just a -- a health issue, it's an economic issue for women. It makes a difference.   ...there are millions of women all across the country, who rely on Planned Parenthood for, not just contraceptive care, they rely on it for mammograms, for cervical cancer screenings.

These are not just women's issues. These are family issues. These are economic issues.
And one of the things that makes us grow as an economy is when everybody participates [pays for it]  ....

[But what Obama doesn't tell you, is that he and his Communist-Socialist allies wish to severely crush the working poor by calling 30 hours a week as "Full-Time" as part of his Obama {Doesn't} Care Healthcare Legislation

By altering and redefining how we calculate Unemployment to move part-timers into being counted as Full-Time, Obama claims victory, when the numbers of those who are actually struggling on less hours has increased, and like Frank Marshall Davis, is humping and twitching, indifferent to the screams of rape in his ears, and demanding a hug afterwards for the rape.]

CROWLEY: Because we're -- we're closing in, I want to still get a lot of people in. I want to ask you something, Mr. President, and then have the governor just quickly.
Your secretary of state, as I'm sure you know, has said that she takes full responsibility for the attack on the diplomatic mission in Benghazi. Does the buck stop with your secretary of state as far as what went on here?
OBAMA: Secretary Clinton has done an extraordinary job. But she works for me. I'm the president and I'm always responsible....

And the suggestion that anybody in my team, whether the Secretary of State, our U.N. Ambassador, anybody on my team would play politics or mislead when we've lost four of our own, governor, is offensive. That's not what we do. That's not what I do as president, that's not what I do as Commander in Chief.  [But that is precisely what he did, and Obama lied about it while refusing the same responsibility he claimed only a moment earlier.]

....that we eliminate funding for Planned Parenthood...I think that's a mistake. That's not how we're going to move our economy forward.
...I've put forward for manufacturing and education, and reducing our deficit in a sensible way, using the savings from ending wars, to rebuild America and putting people back to work. Making sure that we are controlling our own energy, but not only the energy of today, but also the energy of the future. All of those things will make a difference, so the point is the commitments I've made, I've kept.

Let's see:

1. Immigration Reform in his First Year  -- He failed to keep.

“The American people need us to put an end to the petty partisanship that passes for politics in Washington. And they need us to enact comprehensive immigration reform once and for all. We can’t wait 20 years from now to do it. We can’t wait 10 years from now to do it. We need to do it by the end of my first term as President of the United States of America. And I will make it a top priority in my first year as president,”

--Barack "I'll say anything to get elected" Obama, 2008 speech to the League of United Latin American Citizens.

2.  Commitment not to raise ANY taxes of any kind on those making less than $250,000 a year.
—"Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase — not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes." (Obama, September 2008,  Dover, New Hampshire town hall meeting)

Obama Increased Federal Excise Taxes on Tobacco, raising taxes on everyone, especially those working poor or in poverty, as well as the middle class.   Obama said that NO ONE making less than $250,000 would be taxed because of him.  16 days after usurping the Presidency, he TAXED tens of millions of the very ones he said he would not.  -- Another Commitment Obama failed to keep.

3.  He committed to not using PACs and failed to keep that commitment.
"If you choose change, you will have a nominee who doesn't take a dime from Washington lobbyists and PACs,”
He hired lots of lobbyists, and some 4 years later, still uses and takes monies from Super PACs.  Not only that, but his campaign unashamedly takes money from foreign donors, and give the finger-flip attitude to the effect of:   “Like we've really going to send Holder over to prosecute ourselves?".
4. Obama failed to keep his "commitment" to reduce the annual Federal Deficit by 50% a year.
—"Today I'm pledging to cut the deficit we inherited in half by the end of my first term in office." (Obama, Fiscal Responsibility Summit, Feb. 23, 2009.)

5.  Obama promised a commitment to "turn the page on the ugly partisanship in Washington, so we can bring Democrats and Republicans together to pass an agenda that works for the American people."   Instead, he blamed the Republicans for creating a "mess", which he defined in the debate as prosperity and lower prices, and Politifact states that as of August 31,2012, the partisan divide has become "record-setting" as part of Obama's own broken promise.

Politifact notes that there are at least 86 clear promises (i.e., commitments) that Obama has broken.  By lying during the debate, any commitment to tell the truth to the American people, also went out the window.

On May 21, 2009 Obama made his pitch and challenge while standing before the US Constitution and Declaration of Independence, and declared:
6) "I ran for President promising transparency, and I meant what I said. That is why, whenever possible, we will make information available to the American people so that they can make informed judgments and hold us accountable.”
7) “…whenever we cannot release certain information to the public for valid national security reasons, I will insist that there is oversight of my actions - by Congress or by the courts.”
8) “…in our system of checks and balances, someone must always watch over the watchers - especially when it comes to sensitive information.”
9) “I will never hide the truth because it is uncomfortable. I will deal with Congress and the courts as co-equal branches of government. I will tell the American people what I know and don't know, and when I release something publicly or keep something secret, I will tell you why."
All 4 times on May 21, 2009, Obama lied in making his "Commitments".  Anyone familiar with Obama and his political history knows that the reality of what he says above in these last 4 instances, and what he does is almost 100% opposite.

Can anyone say that in regards to Libya and the 09/11/2012 foreign policy incompetence or intentional fiasco that Barack kept his 4 pledges or commitments he made at the U.S. National Archives, at the time, speaking live from before the U.S. Constitution and the Declaration of Independence on all the major network news stations to tens of millions of viewers?  No...not honestly, anyway.

Obama has a "Cause", and the "Cause" of  Marxist-Leninism and the eventual overthrow of the United States of America comes first.

The way we're going to create jobs here is not just to change our tax code, but also to double our exports. And we are on pace to double our exports, one of the commitments I made when I was president. That's creating tens of thousands of jobs all across the country.

{So Obama loses millions of jobs, skews how the Unemployment numbers are recorded, tosses off millions from the count to force a 7.8% mythical unemployment number that Romney said was really 10.7%, which Obama refuses to challenge, because it is worse than even that... and now he claims that as we create energy efficient cars, over the next 10 years, we'll create tens of thousands of jobs for the millions and millions he helped ensure were lost or stayed lost?  Give us all a break!}

Then there was this exchange:

ROMNEY: I -- I think interesting the president just said something which -- which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.
OBAMA: That's what I said.
ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror.
It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you're saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed governor.
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It -- it -- it -- he did in fact, sir. So let me -- let me call it an act of terror...
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He -- he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take -- it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
ROMNEY: This -- the administration -- the administration indicated this was a reaction to a video and was a spontaneous reaction.

Mitt Romney is Technically right on both counts.

Obama stated that on September 12, 2012, he called the attack in Libya an act of terror, and the transcript indeed reads:

...Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  Among those killed was our ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.  We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed.

...The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack.

... this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya.

[He did not tell us that it lasted for some SIX HOURS while he did personally nothing to send aid or intervene in their behalf, but ended up "going to sleep like a baby" rather than being upset in any way that he lost an embassy and personnel.]

... last night we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.

...No acts of terror [plural and generic] will ever shake the resolve of this great nation...."

To follow up on this, Watch the above video of Brett Baier at Foxnews and see how that Obama LIED on how his ambassador and others died for yourself.

Meanwhile, we have to wonder if News Media around the nation are preparing to declare Obama the winner, regardless of a Mitt Romney landslide, and rob us of our votes>

The 2012 presidential election is still more than two weeks away, but on Friday a CBS News affiliate in Arizona called the race for President Barack Obama.
For 17 seconds, Phoenix, Arizona CBS News affiliate KPHO ran a lower third graphic that showed that Obama had won the Nov. 6 election over Gov. Mitt Romney with 99% of the precincts reporting. The lower third graphic appeared around 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 19, during an episode of “The People’s Court.”
The CBS News graphic showed Obama winning the election with 43 percent of the vote nationwide to Romney’s 40 percent -– or 40,237,966 votes to 38,116,216. It is unclear who garnered the other 17 percent in the fictional election results.
KPHO’s general manager did not return The Daily Caller’s request for comment by time of publication.
UPDATE 12:10 p.m.:
Michele Wallace of KPHO told TheDC that this was the result of a mistake made with a test graphic:
“On Friday October 19th during a test of KPHO- CBS 5’s election returns software we inadvertently aired a test graphic for about 15 seconds in an episode of Peoples Court,” Wallace said. “The mistake was caught quickly and taken off the screen. With the election about 2 weeks away, the TV station routinely tests its equipment to ensure our viewers have the very latest’s results on election night.  We regret the error and apologize to any viewer who was confused by the mistake.”

Hmmn.  I wonder....
