Revelation 11

 ¹And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.    (KJV)
          (1)   And was given - bestowed upon - delivered over 

                  to me a stalk / reed  just like - the same kind or nature as 

                  a staff - rod , 

                  and the Angel stood fast speaking / saying,

                       'Arise from sleep and lying down,      [Cf Zechariah 4:1]

                        and measure the area of the Dwelling - Sanctuary - Temple of GOD

                        and the Sacrificial Altar and those in it

                        (who are) falling down prostrate before - doing obeisance - 

                        worshiping - paying respect and homage with the lips.'    (AWPR)

 ²But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.      (KJV)
          (2)   And the exterior Courtyard from without / outside of the Area

                 of the Dwelling - Sanctuary - Temple, also (you) should not measure it;

                 because it was given - delivered over - bestowed upon 

                 freely by good accord and good will to the Ethnicities,  the Nations  
                 [of the Gentiles];
                 and the city, the Holy - Consecrated - Set Apart,
                 they will tread down upon [as though in a wine-press] / have in subjection

 ³And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.     (KJV)
         (3)    And I will give - deliver over - bestow to the 2 WITNESSES of Me,

                  and they will foretell the future - prophesy  1260 days, 

                  having been cast about 

                  and clothed in sackcloth - a garment of black goat-hair.  (AWPR)

 ⁴These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.     (KJV)
          (4)    These, they are the Two Olive Trees and the Two Lamp-stands standing fast

                   before the face / countenance / eye of - in the presence of 

                   the GOD of the Earth.  (AWPR) 


 ⁵And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.     (KJV)
          (5)   And if anyone has in mind / purpose / will / intent

                  to do wrong - hurt -damage - injure them,

                  fire goes forth - proceeds from

                  out of the mouths of them

                  and eats - swallows up - devours - consumes - destroys

                  the hostile adversaries / enemies  of them.

                 And if anyone has in mind / purpose / will / intent

                 to do them wrong - hurt -damage - injury,

                 (it is) in this manner (that it) is necessary / inevitable

                 be be killed / (immediately) put to death / slain / destroyed.     (AWPR)

 ⁶These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.    (KJV)
          (6)   These have - hold - possess 

                  permission - authority - the removal of hindrance - ability - power

                  to shut / close - close the heaven in order that its should not rain 

                  seasonal (or any other) rains in the days of the Prophecy,

                  and have - hold -possess

                  permission - authority - the removal of hindrance - ability - power

                  upon the [living / moving fresh and potable] waters - 

                  fresh water streams - fresh water rivers - fresh water lakes - fresh
                  water seas,

                  to turn - change - convert them into blood,

                  and to touch - tap -strike - smite the Earth

                  every stroke - blow - injury - plague   however many

                  if / whensoever they desire.     (AWPR)
                 

 ⁷And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.     (KJV)
          (7)   And whensoever they carry through and

                 bring to a final completion / make a full end

                 the witness of them,

                 the Therion,

                 the (one) ascending up / coming up

                 out of the Abyss

                 will make / will cause / will bring about war with them,

                 and will overcome - prevail - conquer - subdue them,

                 and will kill / put to death / slay them.     (AWPR) 

 ⁸And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.     (KJV)
          (8)   And the fallen dead bodies / corpses of them

                 upon the Plateias / the (traveled) broad way / the outer darkness 

                      [inclusive of forked or adjoining valleys used for travel]
                 of the Great City, 

                 which is called by name Spiritually Sodom and Egypt,

                 where also the LORD of us was crucified.     (AWPR)

 ⁹And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.     (KJV)
          (9)   And will be able to see - look at / upon - discern / understand   (they)

                 out of the peoples (joined together as a nation)

                 and the tribes / those descended from a common tribal ancestor

                 and tongues / languages 

                 and ethnicities [those of the same race]
                 the fallen dead bodies/corpses of them they certainly do not allow

                 to be dismissed - let go - sent away

                 to be set - laid out - placed into Sepulchers - Memorial Tombs.

 ¹⁰And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.     (KJV)
           (10)  And those dwelling in permanent structures upon the Earth

                   will celebrate in joy / rejoice  over them,

                   and will make joyful in mind [to extravagance],

                   and gifts of giving

                   they will dispatch / send by messengers (to) one another

                   because these, the Two Prophets

                   afflicted with pain - harassed with hurtful words - 

                   physically tormented - vexed - tortured

                   those dwelling in permanent structures upon the Earth.  (AWPR)

 ¹¹And after three days and an half the spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.      (KJV)
          (11)  And after 3 1/2 days 

                  (the) Spirit of Eternal Life out of GOD came upon / entered into them, 

                  and they stood fast upon the feet of them,

                  and great terror - fear with astonishment / amazement / awe

                  fell down [from on High] upon those 

                  gazing / looking / viewing attentively - beholding them.   (AWPR) 

 ¹²And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.    (KJV)
          (12)  And they attentively heard / listened to a great Voice out of Heaven

                  speaking / saying to them,

                        'Ascend and Come Up Here / to this place.'

                 

                  And they went / ascended up into Heaven in the small cloud,

                  and beheld - viewed attentively - gazed upon  them [while looking carefully]
                  the hostile adversaries / enemies of them.   (AWPR)   



 ¹³And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

          (13)  And in that very hour, came into being - occurred
                  a great shaking - earthquake,
                  and the tenth of the City fell down [into ruins];

                  and were slain - killed -destroyed in the shaking - earthquake

                  names of men, 7,000;

                  and the remaining ones - the rest

                  became fearfully  astonished -awed -amazed / terrified,

                  and gave of their own will and accord 

                  glory - thought and recognition - honor and praise duly rendered

¹⁴The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.     (KJV)
          (14)  The Second WOE - Alas - Calamity - Disaster

                  went / passed away - departed;

                  and behold, look and see,

                  a Third is coming forth  [to make a public appearance]
                  quickly - speedily with haste, 


 ¹⁵And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.    (KJV)
          (15)  And the 7th Angel trumpeted, 

                  and there came into being great voices / sounds in Heaven, speaking / saying,

                       'Became / Came into Being

                       the kingdoms - dominions - realms of this world system and its peoples

                       of the LORD of us, and of the Christ of Him,

                       and He shall rule and reign (overall as King) to the Ages of the Ages.

 ¹⁶And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,     (KJV)
          (16)  And the 24 Presbyters / Elders,

                  those before the eye/face of - in the presence of GOD,

                  sitting down upon the thrones of them

                  fell down upon the eye - fell down upon the faces of them,

                  and gave (praises of) respect or homage with the lips - worshiped GOD.

 ¹⁷Saying, We give thee thanks, O LORD God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.     (KJV)
          (17)  Speaking, saying,

                        'We give thanks and gratitude to You, LORD GOD, the Almighty,

                         the Being who continuously is, and who was, and who is Coming;

                         because You took - seized - laid hold on - possessed

                         the great miraculous power and might of You,

                         and ruled and reigned as King.     (AWPR)

 ¹⁸And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.     (KJV)
          (18)  Also, the Nations [living together]
                  became angry - were wrathful [through provocation because of grief];
                  and came forth publicly [because of grief] the Anger/Wrath of You,

                  and the time of the dead corpses / the dead ones to be Judicially Judged,

                  and to give over - bestow upon - entrust

                  the pay - wages - reward to the Servants / Slaves of You:

                  to the Prophets,

                  and to the set apart and separate holy ones / the Saints,

                  and to those reverently fearful of the NAME of You;

                  to the small / little

                  and to the large / great 

                  and to decay - corrupt - make perish

                  those who are decaying - corrupting - making perish the Earth.

¹⁹And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.    (KJV)
          (19)  And was open-opened the Dwelling - Sanctuary - Temple of GOD in Heaven,

                  and was seen - heard - looked upon - beheld

                  the Ark of the Covenant of Him in the Dwelling - Sanctuary - Temple of Him,

                  and came into being - occurred

                  Lightnings

                  and sounding Voices

                  and (clapping) Thunders

                  and a Shaking - Earthquake

                  and a great Hail.

   Note on verse 4 -   The Two Witnesses are the fulfilling of Zechariah 4:1-5, 11-15 as both two great Olive Trees and Two great Menorah's of Temple design and service. 

Zechariah 4   King James Version (KJV)

 ¹And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.

 ²And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

 ³And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

 ⁴So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

 ⁵Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

 ¹¹Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

 ¹²And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

 ¹³And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

The Therion - an Overview


For the believer, we need to both unlearn some interpretations and relearn what the Scriptures themselves actually say (in Hebrew and Greek).


The Bible tells us that we either will worship the invisible GOD, He who made the Heavens and the Earth, or we will find ourselves worshiping a limited yet tyrannical and fiercely rotten creature. In effect, the unsaved will find themselves worshiping the invisible Therion...the serpentine beast of Revelation 17 (though called a poisonous viper in Acts 28:4,5...reminiscent of Satan in the Garden of Eden slithering words to Eve).


In Revelation 11:7, we find that the First time that Therion rises, is when he is loosed from the bottomless pit, and will slay the Two great Witnesses on Day 1286 1/2 ff. the restart of the Last Week of years.


The second time we see the 7 headed Beast is at the assault upon Heaven in Revelation 12:1. Satan's "unsecret" weapon, no matter how fearsome and persuasive an entity it might be, is no match for the assault ambush attempt to prevent the Elijahn Rapture.


The Day of the Elijahn Rapture being known, the Therion is finally allowed to awaken and slay the Two great Witnesses at the appointed time that they have completed their assignments. The authority of the Two great Witnesses given them by G-D to prevail against any man (hence inclusive of angels and cherubim) in Revelation 11:5, prevents Satan himself from killing the Two great Witnesses, and shows his feebility even next to GOD's own being empowered.




The third time we see this 7 headed Therion, is when he rises from the Sea in Revelation 13:1. Notice that in Rev. 13:4, the Dragon (Satan) is a separate entity from the Therion having 7 heads and 10 horns who rises from the Sea. This, indeed is the Therion of Revelation 17:3, that had risen from the bottomless pit and attempted to devour Heaven's Rapture Saint Snatchers, was cast out and down (not having strength or capability), that is slain 3 1/2 years later in Isaiah 27:1 at the 2nd Coming of Christ.


The Therion must empower an entity -- such as the coming One World Government -- in the natural...somehow. We see that in Revelation 13:18, that a man who visibly heads that organization, then, takes on the same number as the Therion, and that Satan himself. Satan, who demonstrates his claim to the kingdoms of the world in Matthew 4:8, before casting a lie, hands over ALL that he has to the Therion to persecute and kill every last remnant of Judeo-Christianity from the face of the Earth. That is, a human element carries out the will of the Therion unblinkingly.


What is missing? The power of deception is not able to be carried out now to the same scale capacity as when the 7 headed Therion is unleashed from the Bottomless Pit. The 5th Angel sounds his trump, and a star falls from Heaven, having been given possession of the key to the bottomless pit, from which the unnatural demon locusts ascend, and torment for 5 months…yet no Therion is made known to rise as yet.


The rise of the 7 headed Therion from the abyss leads to what is termed as a “war” (Gr., polemon) with the Two great Witnesses. It may be that the means of hail, lightnings, fire, tornado, are all used to no avail by the command of the Two great Witnesses; but we cannot know for sure. We do know that the event will happen before the 7th Trump sounds and the Second Woe comes. Traditionally, we have been perceiving the 6th Trump at the end, near to the Second Coming, and attributing the 200,000,000 to China. But this doesn’t appear to be the case regarding the 6th trump.


When the 4 angels of Revelation 9:15, which are bound in the Euphrates River until the 6th Judgment trump, are loosed for the time to head a 200,000,000 man (mechanized / horseless, by description) cavalry driven army and destroy the third part of mankind, this appears to more or less correspond with the Ezekiel 38’s Invasion of Israel by Islamic forces, while the 7 headed Therion and the other forces of Satan attempt to STOP the Elijahn Rapture by laying ambush.


It is at the Elijahn Rapture, in the same hour, that the second woe comes and departs, a 100 % worldwide Earthquake in which the Earth shakes off its own axis, and reels to and fro like a hut, while every island on Earth slips and disappears from existence.


It is the cast down Satan (and his Therion which was cast into the sea), that is the Third Woe. Following this are 1335 more days until the Second Coming of Jesus at the end of the 7 years.

 Note on verse 8
          The Two Witnesses will be killed at the Juncture of the Hinom Valley (spiritually called Sodom, the place of burning) and Egypt (the Kidron, which flashed flooded as a wadi in Winter in ancient times).  This is where Plateias or "street" Jesus was crucified.  For example, see:

 it is clear that from Justin Martyr, First Apology / Defense, .55 that the Cross was neither an X nor a vertical stake alone.   The Cross must have a vertical beam with a 90 degree horizontal cross beam to it. 

CHAPTER LV -- SYMBOLS OF THE CROSS.

But in no instance, not even in any of those called sons of Jupiter, did they imitate the being crucified; for it was not understood by them, all the things said of it having been put symbolically. And this, as the prophet foretold, is the greatest symbol of His power and role; as is also proved by the things which fall under our observation. For consider all the things in the world, whether without this form they could be administered or have any community.  

For the sea is not traversed except that trophy which is called a sail abide safe in the ship; 

and the earth is not ploughed without it: 

diggers and mechanics do not their work, except with tools which have this shape. 

And the human form differs from that of the irrational animals in nothing else than in its being erect and having the hands extended, 

and having on the face extending from the forehead what is called the nose, through which there is respiration for the living creature; and this shows no other form than that of the cross. And so it was said by the prophet, "The breath before our face is the Lord Christ." And the power of this form is shown by your own symbols on what are called "vexilla" [literally, "little sails"] and trophies, with which all your state possessions are made, using these as the insignia of your power and government, even though you do so unwittingly. And with this form you consecrate the images of your emperors when they die, and you name them gods by inscriptions. Since, therefore, we have urged you both by reason and by an evident form, and to the utmost of our ability, we know that now we are blameless even though you disbelieve; for our part is done and finished.
