Revelation 10
1And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire: (KJV)(1) And behold, look and see;
I saw another Angel of the same kind,
strong - valiant - severe,
descending / coming down out of Heaven,
having been clothed round about (with) a cloud;
also an iris/ circular rainbow upon the head
and the face of him as the sun,
and the feet of him as pillars / columns of fire; (AWPR)2And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth, (KJV)
(2) And he held - possessed - had in the hand of him
a small / little scroll / book having been open-opened.
And he set - placed - laid his right foot upon
the enclosed - contained Sea,
then the left [foot] upon the land / earth, (AWPR)3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. (KJV)
(3) And (he) hoarsely cried out with a great sound/voice
just as - exactly like a lion roars.
And when he hoarsely cried out,
the 7 Thunders talked / spoke at random,
themselves (having) voices. (AWPR)4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. (KJV)
(4) And when the 7 Thunders talked / spoke at random,
the voices themselves,
I was at the point of - about to
inscribe / write;
and I heard attentively a Voice sounding out of Heaven
saying / speaking to me,
'Seal - enclose up and make secure
[as though sealing and making secure with a signet ring]what things the 7 Thunders spoke at random,
and should not these things write.' (AWPR)
5And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, (KJV)
(5) And the Angel whom I beheld / saw standing fast
upon the enclosed - contained Sea
and upon the land / earth
lifted / raised up the hand of him into Heaven, (AWPR)6And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer: (KJV)
(6) and declared an oath / swore
by Him living into the Ages of the Ages --
who Created / Produced From Nothing
the heavens and the things in it,
and the Earth and the things in it,
and the enclosed / contained sea and the things in it --
that TIME [as it is measured]shall certainly be no longer / no longer be : (AWPR)
7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets. (KJV)
(7) But on the contrary,
in the days of the Voice of the 7th Angel,
whenever or so often as he is at the point of - about to
trumpet, also may be ended - accomplished - completed
the hidden esoteric knowledge of - the mystery of GOD,
as He preached / carried about the Good Message
to the slaves of Himself, the prophets. (AWPR)8And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth. (KJV)
(8) Also the sound of the Voice
which I heard attentively out of Heaven
(came) back again, speaking randomly with me,
and saying / speaking,
'Go away / depart.
Take -seize - lay hold of the small - little scroll
having been open - opened in the hand of the Angel
standing fast upon the enclosed - contained Sea
and upon the land / earth.' (AWPR) 9And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey. (KJV)
(9) And I went away / departed after,
up to and alongside the Angel,
speaking / saying to him,
'Give up - deliver over to - bestow upon me
the small / little scroll / book having been open-opened
in the hand of the Angel standing fast upon the enclosed - contained Sea
and upon the land / earth.' (AWPR)10And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. (KJV)
(10) And he spoke / said to me,
'Take up - seize - lay hold of and eat / devour it,
and it will make your stomach and colon bitter / in (sharp) pain;
but on the contrary, in the mouth of you it will be
sweet / pleasant to the taste, even as honey.'
And when I ate it, my stomach and colon
was made embittered and pained (sharply). (AWPR) 11And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. (KJV)
(11) And he says / speaking to me,
'(It is) necessary and inevitable (for) you to again
prophesy - foretell those things yet to come
upon peoples [joined together as a common nation]and ethnicities [those of the same race]
and tongues / languages
and many kings / chiefs / rulers.' (AWPR)
Commentary:
Note on Verse 2: Notice the absence of sand or a shoreline in the verse. The Angel puts one foot on the sea and another directly on what may likely be either top-soil of the Land or Earth, or something of the Earth that is dry (possibly inclusive of laid rocks, timber, or what have you). If the latter is the case, it would mean that the Sea would be at the brim in its fullness, ready to overflow (if this is a correct understanding of what is being said here).
It seems to me that the original intent of this verse is that the strong - valiant - severe Angel is placing one foot upon -- not in, but upon -- the Sea of Galilee (upon which Jesus walked), and the other directly upon the earthen topsoil at a location due east of Har Megiddo on the Western side of the Sea of Galilee. The right foot being in the Sea, the left foot being on the Western shoreline necessarily makes the Angel facing NORTH on a virtual straight line toward an area west of Moscow.
Google Earth Coordinates: circa 32 degrees 42 hours 47.59 minutes North Latitude
circa 35 Degrees 34 hours 35.75 minutes East Longitude.
The Northern Latitude coordinates with Mount Megiddo, would place the Angel as standing at the shoreline of the town of Beit Yerah on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, about East-North-East (ENE) of the Google Earth listed town center.
Taking a straight line north, the Angel would likely possibly be looking in a direct line to a point 78.5 miles West of the Kremlin, or at the Kremlin with spiritual eyes that can thus see even around the curvature of the Earth and at such a distance. It is possible, though only speculation, that a literal location some 78.5 miles west of the Kremlin on the same Longitude as listed above, could also be a future Russian underground facility from which the Beast (the ruler of Moscow and Russia, etc.) will have his command center from. But this is all speculation on likely possibilities of the verse as seen in a literalistic sense on my part.
Note on verse 10: It seems to me that this little book was a papyrus made out of manna, the same sweet tasting "angel's food" that Israel ate in the Wilderness for 40 years. The book itself was a sweet tasting food, but the writing upon it made the stomach and colon pain sharply as bitter.
