The Gospel of John: Chapter 7:1-26 - in the King James and Alternate with Word Pictures and Reiterations Versions

John 7:1-26

King James Version (KJV) in aqua Blue

Alternate Word Pictures with Reiterations Version (AWPR) in Yellow

My Comments are in Green.

1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.   (KJV)

1)     And Jesus was walking about after these things in Galilee,
because He certainly not intended - willed - desired
        to walk about in Judea,
because the Judeans were seeking and striving to find Him
to go forth and slay - kill (Him).

2 Now the Jew's feast of tabernacles was at hand.   (KJV)

2)    Then was near - close   the  Feast - Festival of the
Tabernacles - Booths  of the Judeans.

3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.   (KJV)

3)    Therefore - Accordingly, the brothers of Him said
        up alongside with Him,
'Go away from the midst of this place here - this side here,
and discreetly or secretly depart and go into Judea,
in order that  also the disciples - pupils - learners of you
will attentively gaze upon and carefully observe the  works
which you do - make - cause - produce - bring about - perform.

4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world.    (KJV)

4)          Because no one who seeks and strives to find himself in
speaking freely before all is to be
"in secret" -  "in secret and concealed hiding / private"
               in anything  he
does - works- makes - causes - brings about - performs.
               If these things you do,
manifest yourself - make yourself visible and openly known
to the Caretakers - the World (of man. of mankind).'

5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.   (KJV)

5)     For not even then the brothers of Him believed or trusted into

6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready.   (KJV)

6)     Accordingly - Therefore  Jesus lays down definite words and
         says to them,
'The Time appointed (is)  My Own,
and is certainly not yet nearby or present.

Then the Time appointed, that which is yours,
is at all times then - always - ever
                prepared and ready.

7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.    (KJV)

7)    The Caretakers are certainly not empowered /
The World  is certainly not able - empowered
to actively hate you and to (unendingly) persecute (you).

Then Me it actively hates and (unendingly)  persecutes,
because I bear witness and testify round about - concerning   it,
that the works - that the work performances     of it
        are maliciously evil.

[My comment:  This verse can, after a sense, be taken as an Illuminati verse, in which there is a dual sense of application...the world and the caretakers, and the two are unique and distinct from one another.  The world is all humanity in one sense, as we are all called to be caretakers as commanded of Adam the first man.  If so, and it so, then we are all co-equal in having responsibility to ourselves to be more eco-friendly WITHOUT the oppression of rules and excessive burdens that others are attempting to do with their environmental ruse for control freaks of the population in the Agenda 21 "I'm now a god in your life" garbage, as we see growing in popularity of application to ensconsce base-lines for tyrannies in and over the lives of those living here in the United States.  Rebellion to idolatry and those who seek to be idols and tyrants in control of our lives rather than equals, rebellion to such as these can indeed be an expression of obedience to GOD.   In the other sense, as we look at the verse in the Greek and apply it for us in our time, we can also say that the elites are identified both then (in those ancient times) and now.
The elites, regardless of what age or Empire or country or town they every operate in, are both of limited power and influence, no matter how temporarily omni-potent they may terrorize, it can only last for a finite duration.  Therefore, we must always remember in our push-back against corruption, even if we lose here and there, or grow weary and take a short rest, that the elites are themselves forced to operate in positions of temporary empowerments that always must come to an end.  But especially important, is that through this verse, we be made aware by Christ Jesus Himself speaking the words of GOD the Father, that the elites are NOT our friends NOR are they by nature in any way habitually benevolent human beings.      Jesus, in this verse,  identifies the elites as  being maliciously evil caretakers in their works and work performances upon both humanity and the planet, and cautions us to be especially careful of their works and work performances.   Again, their power is finite and persecutions will come and eventually go, but they will always specifically and actively hate Christ Jesus, unintentionally thereby because they love evil (John 3:19-21), proving Jesus' identity as the One and Only Son of GOD and True Faith above all other belief systems and religions, showing them to be false and His the only one whereby humanity MUST individually one by one be saved by faith and trust into, or perish apart from.   No other individual is universally hated by the world or the world system through mere conviction as just the mere mention of the name of  Christ  Jesus is, and that in itself points us to an internal evidence from our own souls that this is the Holy One of GOD the Father, the One whose mere name convicts us of our sins and wrongs against GOD the Father, the One sending and dispatching Him forth out, and the One whom the elites so fear and persecute regarding His Name.  - Brianroy]

8 Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast: for my time is not yet full come.   (KJV)

8)         You go and ascend up into the Festival - Feast.

I am certainly not yet going and acsending up
into this Festival - Feast, because My appointed time
certainly has not yet been fulfilled.

9 When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee.   (KJV)

9)    Then saying these things to them, he remained and dwelt
        in Galillee.

10 But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.   (KJV)

10)    Then, so as when the brothers of Him went and ascended up,
then at that time He went and ascended up into the
          Festival - Feast
          [of Tabernacles - of Booths],
certainly not openly or plainly and visibly manifest,
but so as in secret, hiding in concealment.

[Note:  The Feast of Tabernacles or Booths generally held 3,000,000 visitors of the entire nation of Israel, with about 300,000 to 500,000 estimated three walled booths laden with hanging foods and drink on its walls.  These would be up for a week and burned in the Hinom Valley in great conflagrations on the 8th day as Israel cleaned up after themselves and departed for home. ]

11 Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?   (KJV)

11)    Accordingly - Therefore,  the Judeans sought and strove to find
Him in the Festival - Feast
        [of Tabernacles - of Booths];
        and said,
'Where - In what place   is that One?'

12 And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.   (KJV)

12)    And (there) was much muttering in low and indistinct voices
and words about Him in the crowds - multitudes.

Some indeed laid down definite words and said,
'Because He is a good man.'

Then others laid down definite words and said,
'No, certainly not.   He only misleads - leads astray - deceives
the crowd - throng - multitude.'

13 Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews.   (KJV)

13)    Yet indeed, no one spoke at random in all freedom and
frankness publicly    round about - concerning Him,
through (either) the terrifying and fleeing fear - terrorism
or reverence and honor of the Judeans.

[Note:  The Greek word "phobon" can either be the phobos / fear of fright so as to run away, or it can be the phobos / fear  that is based on reverence and respect.  The text and context of this verse with the preceding two verses and the verses yet to come (vv. 19-20, et al.) shows us that a better translation takes into account both word picture definitions as the intent of what is meant to be conveted in John 7:13 above, as the Jewish leaders were both loved and hated, especially as they loved their own and hated the northern tribes of Israel, especially those living and prospering in the rich green farms and orchard lands of Galilee while they lived in the hot, dry, dusty and rain-parched south.  -- Brianroy]

14 Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught.   (KJV)

14)    Now then, the Feast - Festival  [of Tabernacles]
         being midway,
Jesus - Yeshua went and ascended up into the Temple,
         and orally taught and instructed.

15 And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned?   (KJV)

15)    And the Judeans were struck with admiration and astonishment,
         having marveled,
         laying down definite words, saying,
'In what manner or way - How - By what means
does this One intuitively know and perceive
               Scriptures, perhaps not being taught?'

[Note:  The Greek word grammata is also translated as Scriptures in 2 Timothy 3:15, and is the inferred translation here, rather than "letters" as in certain translations.  The actual intent seems to be "How does this One intitively know and perceive Scriptures, perhaps not being taught after the manner of the scribes and rabbis?', or something to this effect.  It is the same way in our day, when truly devout Christian devoted to the Bible free thinkers are able to read the Scriptures and take them in their plain sense intent, and make many now over-rated seminaries awe-struck that the common unindoctrinated man or woman can have a grasp just as great or better than their best students and educators themselves.   -- Brianroy]

16 Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.    (KJV)

16)    To them Jesus - Yeshua also said,
'My Instructional Teaching is certainly not Mine,
but of the (One) sending and dispatching Me
                forth out.

17 If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself.    (KJV)

17)         If a certain one or anyone
desires to - wishes to - wills to - has the mind and intent to
do - make - perform - bring about
the  joyful expression or fulfilling of His will,
he will know (more completely)   round about - concerning
              the Instructional Teaching,
which of another - whether    it is out from GOD
or from I Myself (that) I randomly speak.

18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.   (KJV)

18)         He proceeding forth out from Himself, speaking at random,
seeks and strives to find his own thoughtful recognition
               and glory.

He then, seeking and striving to find the thoughtful
recognition and glory of the (One) sending and
               dispatching Him forth out,
this One is True - Truly Real  [genuine],
and unjustness - wrongful injury - deceit - unrighteousness
               is certainly not in Him.

19 Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me?   (KJV)

19)         Did Moses certainly not of his own good will and accord
               give to you the Law,
and certainly not one - and certainly no one
out of you  does - performs - brings about
               the Law?

Why do you seek and strive to find Me
to go forth and slay - to go forth and put to death?'

20 The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee?    (KJV)

20)    The multitude - The crowd  answered judgingly and said,
'You have - hold - possess and continue to possess
a demon, a certain one who seeks and strives to find
you   to go forth and slay (you) - to go forth and put
                   (you) to death!'

21 Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.    (KJV)

21)   Jesus - Yeshua discerningly answered and said to them,
             'One work performance
              I did - caused - performed - made - brought about
and you all marvel - you all are struck with admiration
              and astonishment.

22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.   (KJV)

22)         Through this, Moses has of his own good will and accord
               given you the circumcision,
certainly not because it is out from Moses,
but   out of - out from     the fathers.

23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?   (KJV)

23)       If circumcision,
you forcefully take - lay hold of - seize (violently upon)
to circumcise a man in a Sabbath - Shabbat
in order that the Law of Moses is perhaps not
loosed and unbound - dissolved - broken down,
are you bitterly and violently angry with Me
because I made - caused - brought about
a man (to be) whole and soundly healthy
             in the Sabbath - Shabbat?

24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.  (KJV)

24)    Do not judge   down from - down by  [according to]
          gazing upon outward appearance,
but judge the righteous - justified  [fitting and honest]

25 Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill?   (KJV)

25)     Accordingly - Therefore   some of the Jerusalemites
laid down definite words and said,
'Is it certainly not this One whom they are
                   seeking and striving to find
to go forth and slay - to go forth and put to death?

26 But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ?  (KJV)

26)       And behold, look and see;
He as He thinks and pleases speaks at random
openly and publicly in all freedom,
and they say certainly not any one thing - certainly nothing
             to Him.
Perhaps not at some time or another,
truthfully - in truth    the rulers - the first ones
knew and were aware  that this (One)
is in truth - truly - most certainly - indeed
the Christ - the Messhiach - the Messiah?'
