Revelation 5
1And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (KJV)
(1) And behold, look and see,
upon the right of the (One) sitting down upon the Throne,
a rolled up volume or scroll,
having been carved-inscribed-written from within
and at the back side of it having been intensely shut up
and securely sealed with 7 seals that were impressed [as with a signet ring].(AWPR)
2And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof? (KJV)
(2) And behold, look and see,
a mighty and powerful angel heralding,
proclaiming and announcing publicly with a very great and noisy sounding voice:
'Who is of weight and value in worth,
who is worthy to open-open the rolled up volume or scroll,
and to unbind - unfasten - loosen - dissolve the seals
that were impressed [as with a signet ring] of it? '(AWPR)
3And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon. (KJV)
(3) And certainly no one was able,
no one had the power - ability - resources in Heaven,
certainly not upon the Earth, nor down under the Earth
to open-open the rolled up volume or scroll;
and certainly not to look at or upon and to gaze or see it directly.
(AWPR)4And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. (KJV)
(4) And I grievously wept, crying tears with wails of mourning, very much,
because certainly no one was found --
whether by search or inquiry (to be)
of weight and value in worth,
(who was) worthy, to open-open and know by reading
the rolled up volume or scroll,
-- and certainly not to look at or upon and to gaze or see it directly.
(AWPR) 5And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof. (KJV)
(5) And one of the Presbyters / Elders laid down forth definite words,
saying to me,
'(You) don't have to grievously weep if you don't want to.
Behold, look and see, the Lion, the Being of the Tribe of Judah,
the tender (and young) sprout or tender (and young) root of David
victoriously prevailed - overcame - conquered
to open-open the rolled up volume or scroll;
and to unbind - unfasten - loosen - dissolve the 7 seals of it
that were impressed [as with a signet ring].'(AWPR)
(6) And behold, look and see,
in (the) midst of the Throne and the 4 Living Animalistic Creatures
and in (the) midst of the Presbyters / Elders,
a Lamb standing still as having been sacrificed and slain,
having and possessing 7 [medium to large] horns and 7 eyes,
which are the 7 Spirits of GOD
having been sent forth out into all the Earth. (AWPR) 7And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne. (KJV)
(7) And He came and appeared, and took - laid hold of - seized - accepted
the rolled up volume or scroll out of the right
of the (One) sitting down upon the Throne. (AWPR)
(8) And when He took - laid hold of - seized - accepted
the rolled up volume or scroll,
the 4 Living Animalistic Creatures and the 24 Presbyters / Elders
fell down prostrate
in the presence of and before the face of the Lamb,
having and possessing each one harps / lyres
and basins of gold, stuffed full of burning incenses,
which are the prayers of the holy, set apart and consecrated Saints
(without blemish, and morally pure and blameless). (AWPR)
9And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; (KJV)
(9) And they sing praise, a praise and honor song
that is new and not known before that time,
laying down forth and uttering definite words, saying,
'Of weight and value in worth, worth are You
to take up - lay hold of - seize - accept
the rolled up volume or scroll
to open-open the seals of it that were impressed
[as though with a signet ring],
because You were sacrificially slain
and ought for a price / purchased
us to GOD by Your blood
out of every tribe and language and society and national ethnicity.
(AWPR)
(10) And made / formed / caused us (to be) to our GOD
kings and priests,
and we shall be (as) kings to reign and rule upon the Earth. ' (AWPR)
11And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; (KJV)
(11) And behold, look and see,
I saw and I heard a sound and voice [in unison, speaking as one]
of many angels encircling round about the Throne,
and the Living Animalistic Creaturesand the Presbyters / Elders;
and the number of them was hundreds of millions and millions. (AWPR)
12Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing. (KJV)
(12) Saying with a very great sounding voice [in unison],
''Of weight and value in worth, worthy is the Lamb,
the (One) having been sacrificially slain
to take up - lay hold of - seize - accept
the mighty power with authority
and material riches
and wisdom and mighty strength
and honor - respect -esteem
and thoughtful recognition / glory
and the gift and bounty of praise with thanksgiving.' (AWPR)
13And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. (KJV)
(13) And every created creature which is in Heaven,
and in the Earth, and down under the Earth,
and upon the sea and all that are in them
I heard attentively, listening (to their) laying down of definite words,
saying,
'To the (One) sitting down upon the Throne and to the Lamb,
the good words - commendation - blessing
and the honor - respect -esteem
and the thoughtful recognition / glory
and the manifest power / dominion
into the Ages of the Ages.' (AWPR)
14And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever. (KJV)
(14) And the 4 Living Animalistic Creatures
laid down forth and uttering definite words, saying,
'Amen.'
And the 24 Presbyters / Elders fell down prostrate
and kissed adoringly with the lips praising (the) Living One
into the Ages of the Ages." (AWPR)
