¹ After these things Jesus went over the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.     (KJV)

    1)  After these things,  Jesus – Yeshua   departed – went away

    over past and beyond the other side  of  the Sea of Galilee,

    (that) of Tiberias.

² And a great multitude followed him, because they saw his miracles which   he did on them that were diseased.     (KJV)

     2)   And  accompanied and followed Him  (together in the way)

       a great – plenteous  (unorganized) multitude,

       because they saw – observed of Him

       the miraculous signs (having a spiritual purpose)

       which He   did – performed – caused – brought about

       upon the   weak – feeble – infirm – sick  ones.

³ And Jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.    (KJV)

     

     3)     Then Jesus – Yeshua  came up into the mountain,

         and sat down in that place 

         with the Disciples – pupils – learners of Him.

⁴ And the passover, a feast of the Jews, was nigh.     (KJV)

  

      4)     Then was Pesach / the Passover,

         the Feast – the Holiday of the Judeans   near – close.

⁵ When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?      (KJV)

  

     5)     Accordingly – Thereupon,      Jesus – Yeshua

       raising up the eyes  (of Him)  upon

       and attentively beholding with admiring wonder

       because a plenteous – great    (unorganized)  multitude

       is coming forth (publicly)  up alongside with Him,

       He lays down definite words and says

        up alongside with Philip,

           ‘From where – From what place

            in a market place assembly  (may we)

            buy bread loaves, in order that  these  (ones)

            may eat?’

⁶ And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.       (KJV)

  

     6)        This then,   He laid down definite words and said

          to  prove him    by trial / by an experience of testing,

          because He intuitively knew what He had in mind

          and was already willing and about to

          do – make – bring about – perform.

⁷ Philip answered him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little.      (KJV)

    

      7)    Philip discreetly answered Him,

            ‘Bread loaves of 200 Denarii   [of 200 day’s wages]

             are certainly not sufficient  to satisfy

             are certainly not enough   for them

             in order that every one of them

             may take (up) and receive a small – little (piece).

⁸ One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, saith unto him,     (KJV)

   

      8)       One of the Disciples of Him,

          Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter,

          lays down definite words and says to Him,

⁹ There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?      (KJV)

9)    There is a young boy here in this place

       who has – holds – possesses and continues to possess

       5 barley bread loaves and 2 Opsaria – 2 Prepared Fish;

 [Opsaria in John's Gospel is used with an intent that they are pre-scaled, pre-gutted, and prepared to some degree.   That is how the word is used in Chapter 21 verse 9, when the opsarion is in the process of being cooked by Jesus for the disciples.  However, in Chapter 6, it is likely meant as being quite recently smoked and pre-cooked that same day or the day before, and was likely wrapped in a clean linen cloth separately from another clean linen cloth about the barley loaves. ]

  10)  Then  Jesus said,

               ‘Make – Cause    the men to fall down and recline.’

           Then [at that time there]  was much – plenteous  

            [presumably rich, thick, and green]

            grass in the place.

                       The men therefore fell down and reclined.

                       The number as if 5,000.

¹¹ And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would.    (KJV)

11)    Then Jesus - Yeshua took up and seized the loaves.

         And having given  willing good and noble thanks

         divided out and distributed of His own good will and accord

         through the Disciples;

         then the Disciples to those falling down and reclining

         in equal or like manner also out of the 

         Opsarion - Prepared Fish

         as great as - as much as - as many as 

         they desired - they willed and were pleased to have.

¹² When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost.     (KJV)

12)    Then as they were filled in and stuffed (being happily satiated),
          He lays down definite words and says to the Disciples of Him,
               'Lead and assemble together - Gather up
                the around and above excess - that remaining or left over
                broken off 

                [through a finger snapping motion as one may break off
                 a leaf, which action Jesus exclusively used in breaking
                 bread and distinguished Him as a peculiarity to His 
                 Disciples]

                 fragments  [of miraculously multiplied bread 
                                      and prepared fish]

                 in order that not a certain one - not a single one
                 may be wholly destroyed - may perish away -  may fall out
                 and away like rain and be lost  [from the owner].

¹³ Therefore they gathered them together, and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves, which remained over and above unto them that had eaten.   (KJV) 

13)   Accordingly - Thereupon,   

        they led and assembled together - they gathered up

        and stuff full to a heaping 

        12 Baskets  

        [of an approximate  size and capacity having 2 cubic feet and up] 

        with fragments out of the 5 barley loaves of bread,

        which (was) the around and above excess - the remaining 

        or left over      to those having eaten.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, This is of a truth that prophet that should come into the world.     (KJV)

14)   Accordingly - Therefore,  the men seeing and perceiving what
        miraculous sign (having a Spiritual purpose)
        Jesus      did - made - caused - performed - brought about,
        laid down definite words and said,
            'This is in True Reality the PROPHET:
             He coming into the World  (of man - of mankind).'

¹⁵ When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take him by force, to make him a king, he departed again into a mountain himself alone.      (KJV)

15)   Accordingly - Therefore,  Jesus knowing (by observation)
        that they are at the point of and about
        to come, seize, and snatch Him away
        in order that they might make Him King,
        departed back again - withdrew again
        into the mountain, Himself alone.

¹⁶ And when even was now come, his disciples went down unto the sea,      (KJV)

16)   Then when (between the) evening 

        [that is the 3 p.m. to sunset time reckoned by the Jews

          as in Exodus 12:6's  "between the evenings"]

        came into being,

        the Disciples of Him descended down upon the Sea.

¹⁷ And entered into a ship, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was now dark, and Jesus was not come to them.     (KJV)

17)    And having come and entered into the boat,
         they were coming forth across to the other side of the sea
         to Capernaum.

         And darkness having now already happened;
         also, Jesus had certainly not come  forth and gone
         up alongside with them;

¹⁸ And the sea arose by reason of a great wind that blew.     (KJV)

18)  Was the sea, by a great blowing wind, had thoroughly arisen.
       (AWPR) 

¹⁹ So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.      (KJV)

19)   Therefore having been driven and / or rowed
         so as  - in what manner or way
         25 or 30 stadia   [ ca. 2.86 to 3.43 miles from land], 
         they intently gazed and saw Jesus - Yeshua
         walking round about upon the sea,
         coming to be  near - close  to the boat.

         And they were terrified (wanting to run away).

²⁰ But he saith unto them, It is I; be not afraid.      (KJV)

20)   Then He lays down definite words and says to them,

              'Ego Eimi!  - I AM!

               

                 [Cf. Septuagint Exodus 3:14 with Hebrew of Exodus 3:14.

                 I AM is GOD's first Name He used of Himself  to answer 

                 Israel through Moses as to what His Name is. 

                 Technically, the translation of the Name as defined in 

                  Exodus 3:14 is "I AM (who continuously is)".  It is an 

                  attesting as to the eternal origins of Himself, even as 

                  is declared of Messiah in Micah 5:2, which Jesus fulfills.

                  Jesus  tells these sons of Israel in the boat His Name by 

                 which He made Himself known through Moses 

                 almost 1580 years  earlier when He spoke faces to faces

                 with Moses, a date some 1550 years prior to Jesus's - Yeshua's

                  later incarnation in order to fulfill prophecy,  even though

                  the incarnation also much concealed His Deity.]

             Do not be terrified (so as to want to run away).'

²¹ Then they willingly received him into the ship: and immediately the ship was at the land whither they went.      (KJV)

21)   Therefore, they had in mind - purpose - will
         to take and seize - to grab and pull
         Him into the boat:
         and straightway - immediately  the boat 
                  [which was ca. 2.86 - 3.43 miles out to sea]
         came into being upon the land
         [at Capernaum]
         into which they were going away in stealth to.

"He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. Then are they glad because they be quiet; so He bringeth them to their desired haven." ]

²² The day following, when the people which stood on the other side of the sea saw that there was none other boat there, save that one whereinto his disciples were entered, and that Jesus went not with his disciples into the boat, but that his disciples were gone away alone;    (KJV)

22)   Upon tomorrow - Upon the next day,

         the standing as set in place ones of the 

         (unorganized) multitude - throng - crowd

         over beyond - on the other side of the sea,

         had beheld and seen that there was certainly not 

         another boat in that place, except one;

         that one there into which the Disciples of Him

         came and entered into, 
         and because that Jesus - Yeshua 
         certainly not came and entered together 
         into the boat with the Disciples of Him,
         but the Disciples of Him  departed - went away   alone.

23)   Then came other boats from Tiberias
         close to - near   the place where they ate  the bread loaves,
         the LORD having willingly given good and noble thanks.

²⁴ When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.     (KJV)

24)  Therefore, at what time then the (unorganized) multitude 

        saw that Jesus - Yeshua  is certainly not there in that place,

        nor the Disciples of Him,

        they came and entered into the boats themselves also,

        and came forth (so as to make a public appearance)

        [at about 5,000 men (not counting  the women and children), 

         cf. verse 10, being a spectacle in and of themselves]

        into Capernaum,

        seeking and striving to find Jesus - Yeshua.

²⁵ And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?      (KJV)

25)  And having found Him by search and inquiry
        beyond - on the other side of the sea, 
        they said to Him,
             'Rabbi, when - at what time   
              did You come here to this place?'

²⁶ Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.     (KJV)

26)   Jesus discerningly and discreetly answered them and said,
               'Amen - So be it.   Amen - So be it.
                I lay down definite words and say unto you,
                you seek and strive to find Me 
                certainly not because you beheld and saw
                miraculous signs ( having a spiritual purpose),
                but because you ate out of the bread loaves
                and were fed until you were satisfied.

²⁷ Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.     (KJV)

27)   Actively work and exert (yourselves)  - Labor 

         not for the wholly perishing food,

         but (for) the food that remains and dwells - waits and endures

         into perpetual eternal life,

         which the Son of Man out of His own good will and accord 

         will give to you;

         because / for   this One has GOD the Father 

         set His signet seal to -  sealed and affirmed to.'

²⁸ Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?      (KJV)

28)   Accordingly - Therefore they said up to and alongside with Him,
             'What may we   do - cause - bring about - perform - produce
              in order that we may actively labor and 
              do - cause - bring about - perform - produce
              the works - deed - performance of GOD?'

²⁹ Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.      (KJV)

29)   Jesus discerningly and discreetly answered and said to them,
        
         [possibly pointing to Himself as he did so]

         'This One is the work - deed - performance  of GOD, 
          in order that you believe and trust into He 
          whom that One has sent forth out.'

³⁰ They said therefore unto him, What sign shewest thou then, that we may see, and believe thee? what dost thou work?      (KJV)

30)   Therefore - Accordingly, they said to Him,
              'What miraculous sign therefore, 
               do you   do - cause - bring about - perform - produce
               in order that we may see and perceive 
               and may trust and believe into You?

               What do You actively perform - actively work?

³¹ Our fathers did eat manna in the desert; as it is written, He gave them bread from heaven to eat.     (KJV)

31)    The Fathers of us ate the Manna
          in the desert - deserted wilderness,
          according to as it has been written - engraved - inscribed,
             ' 'He of His own good will and accord gave to them
                Bread out of Heaven to eat.' '

               Moses has certainly not
               given you the Bread out of Heaven;
               but the Father of Me of His own good will and accord
               has given you the True Reality Bread 
               out of Heaven.

³³ For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.      (KJV)

33)         Because the Bread of GOD is He
               descending and coming down out of Heaven,
               and of His own good will and accord giving 
               eternal life to the Caretakers - the World

34)   Then they said up alongside with Him,
              'LORD, at all times  then - always then,
               of Your own good will and accord give
               us this Bread.'

³⁵ And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.      (KJV)

35)   Then Jesus - Yeshua  said to them,

            [and face to face conversed with] Me,

³⁷ All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.       (KJV)

37)      All that the Father of  his own good will and accord 

            gives up alongside with Me

            will come forth to be here,

            and the (one) coming forth (so as to make a public appearance)

            I shall certainly not - I shall in no way 

            cast throw - drop out   without.'
